WHAT INSPIRES US?
WHAT INSPIRES US?
“The Man In The Arena” speech by US President Theodore Roosevelt way back in 1910 continues to inspire men and women around the world today. At No Timid Souls, we draw inspiration from the speech because it celebrates people who are “in the arena”, striving to be their best.
Sometimes, those people experience the triumph of high achievement. At other times, they fail while daring greatly. Either way, they understand that nothing worth achieving is easy and that falling short is part of any road to new possibilities. In the end, the credit belongs to everyone who finds the strength to step into the arena in any aspect of life, rather than to the critics or the “cold and timid souls” who don’t know victory or defeat.
NOTHING WORTH ACHIEVING IS EASY

Stepping into the arena means different things to many different people. LeBron James has found the strength to be the man in the arena by writing about it on his basketball shoes. Brene Brown encourages people to enter the arena via her “Daring Greatly” book.
